Hi Kimberly! It is really frustrating to think we can't start a program or stick to a program. All the issues mentioned are so true. However, what we want to start with is HOW WE THINK about all of this. Money and time are most peoples main obstacles, so we have to think AROUND them.

Motivation. FIRST, Motivation is and ACTION, not a feeling - or an emotion. I always tell my clients, if you are waiting to FEEL like doing this or even getting started you will likely wait A LONG Time! I don't FEEL like working out, LOL! I really don't - but I've had to learn to ACT my way into a new WAY of thinking. Start by showing up. It does not have to be long or far, but do something and be proud that you did. Are there stairs you can take near by or at work. When you are shopping can you park the FURTHEST spot away. EVERY STEP YOU TAKE COUNTS! You must choose to believe this!

3 MEALS in my humble opinion is not enough. And honestly, everyone thinks they eat right - but with all the unfair and untrue marketing out there - it's hard to know! Do you have cereal and milk in the am? That's sugar. Fruit or fruit yogurt? ALSO SUGAR! Very few people can lose weight on this type of "healthy" eating. One of my favorite resources is "THE PRICELESS GUIDE TO FATLOSS" Written by my trainer and friend Jeff Scot Philips. It is available from my gym site for $7.95. It's the how to eat and how to exercise to gain true results! <a href="http://fitstudio365.com/priceless-guide-to-fat-loss" rel="nofollow"> This is the fastest and least expensive way to get started!!!

keep the faith, keep trying!!

My problem is losing weight or working out, period. I am 40 pounds overweight and 46 years old. I never thought this would happen to me, but it has. I feel as though every which way I turn there is a blockage. I can't afford the gas to drive back and forth to the gym. And I don't like working out in front of other people. My neighborhood isn't good for walking and also I'm very uncomfortable walking in it ie the people, traffic, dogs, etc. I don't own a treadmill and can't afford one right now. I occasionally, as in about once a week, take my dog to the park for a walk, but again, I can't afford the gas to drive back and forth to the park, except on occasion. Plus, if I have to go anywhere, I am less likely to work out. I really don't eat all that much or that bad. I have 3 meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. And I eat a light dinner. I rarely eat after 8pm. At this point, I don't know what the answer is, I have absolutely no motivation either, but can't afford a trainer. So, it's all road blocks, that's why I have given up. Any solutions or advice?
