Life’s Purpose

As a Personal Trainer and Body Image Coach there are a lot of things that I get to do to help people reach their goals.

The process usually proceeds something like this:

Once you determine there is something in your life you want to change, improve upon, create, work through, or deal with more successfully, we have a chat.

In the first interview our goal is to determine, what these thing may be. Often we don’t know what it is that needs changing, we just know we need SOMETHING to change.

Sometimes there are several things that need some work, but you as the coachee get to determine what those things are.
Then through a series of interview processes we begin to unearth all sorts of cool and sometimes difficult things to deal with so that you get to move toward your goal. You feel less stuck, less frustrated, more hopeful.

They way to move to your goals:
In the book THe Richest Man Who Ever Lived, Steven K Scott, creates and easily duplicatable process, pattered after the teachings of proverbs.
This process makes is much more “doable” to reach your “Dream” by breaking that dream into a series of goals. Then, you break the goals into a series of steps, the steps into tasks.

It works like this:
Dream:
To have a competition ready body

Ask: What to I need to do in order to get Competition Ready Body?
Resources to learn how, if you are very new to the sport.
Research who, what and how you can get a competition Ready Body.

Now you know you at minimum need to execute three things:

Goal: To create meal plan
Goal: To create exercise Plan
Goal: To create supplement Plan

Steps to Goal: Meal Plan.
Determine which meal plan for competition type.
Get notebook or something to record food decisions for daily tracking.
Create Grocery list of approved healthy foods and condiments.
Determine day to shop.
Determine time to prep and cook foods.
Decide times to eat food and how when things come up.

Do you get the picture?

You’ ve created the plan. Now get ready to work it.
Give yourself little check points to help you make sure you are going the right direction. This is often where a coach can help you, especially if you have stuck points.
